Why Delete Temporary Files in Windows 7?
Windows Temporary files are created by the operating system to make modification in any file. It is used by the operating system itself to make operations fast.
1. Windows desktop application, such as write and multiple document interface applications such as MS Excel, MS Office create temporary files to handle necessary user editing.
2. When you print from Windows or any Windows-based application with the spooler enabled. Windows creates temporary files on the hard disk.
Under normal conditions, these files are closed and deleted by Windows when you quit a Windows session. However, if you quit Windows in an irregular way (Close a program or restart unexpectedly) the files are not closed or deleted. So over the time, these files can start to take up a lot of space so clearing temporary files is a good way to reclaim additional disk storage space.
The temporary files should be located in a specific directory. So we can also delete these files manually.
